It is best suited for intermediate riders looking to take their riding to the next level while experiencing new heights of riding adventure! With skills sessions to help improve your riding and a hands-on bike maintenance clinic to teach you everything you need to know about keeping your bike running smooth, this trip will set you up for a lifetime of bike riding adventures!
Check in, get comfortable and get stoked! Check-in starts at 4pm, dinner will be served at 7pm. Meet your guides and discuss your rides while getting acquainted with some delicious offerings from our local brewery. Take advantage of our shop to build your bikes or fine tune them for the rides ahead.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast then grab a packed lunch to go. Today we'll head to the Mt. Macpherson Trails to ride some of the best singletrack in BC! We'll have a full day ride here hitting up all the best trails and we'll hold several mini skills sessions along the way. Learn new skills and discover how to ride technical sections of trail with ease! We'll finish our ride today with a big descent of the popular Flowdown trail, a local's favourite! Après snacks and drinks will be served back at the lodge then take a couple of hours to relax or hit the beach. We'll serve dinner at 7pm tonight.
We'll start out early today with breakfast followed by an incredible drive through Roger's Pass in Glacier National Park to the town of Golden. Our closest neighbour to the east, Golden is home to endless amounts of fun and flowy intermediate trails in the Moonraker and CBT areas just outside of town. We'll take advantage of a big shuttle to start our day up at the top of the Canyon Creek Trail then gradually ride our way back down to town on some super-fun rollercoaster ride descents mixed with some challenging climbs (just to keep you honest) and a section riding right alongside the edge of a huge canyon! We'll also work in a couple more skills sessions today (like how to hit little jumps like a boss)! We'll have a packed lunch on the trails today and we'll stop off at our favourite downtown Golden eatery for a quick après snack (not included in your trip cost) before tackling the drive back to Revelstoke for dinner at 7pm.
Sleep in a bit today and enjoy coffee or tea with a great view out our back door! We'll have breakfast this morning and then head to the garage for a morning of hands on bike maintenance workshop. We'll teach you: proper cleaning methods, common trailside repairs, changing and patching flats, disc brake adjustment & pad replacement, drive train maintenance, understanding chain breaks & quick links, replacing shifter cables and housing and more! After our maintenance session we'll have lunch at the lodge and then the rest of the afternoon is up to you! There will be an optional ride at MacPherson or save your energy (you might want to when you read about tomorrow!) and take the afternoon to relax on the beach or have a stroll through town. We'll have some après snacks back at the lodge and then get ready to hit the town. Visit some local shops, check out the live nightly music in the plaza and enjoy dinner out at one of our favourite Revelstoke restaurants (tonight's dinner is not included in your trip costs).
After another delicious breakfast, grab a pack lunch, load up and we'll shuttle up to the Frisby Ridge XC trailhead to ride what might be the most breathtaking ride of your life...literally! The trail starts with a huge climb requiring ALOT of breathes! Though the climb from the trailhead to the alpine highpoint is long (11.5 km's long to be exact!), it is a very gradual climb, handled well by most intermediate riders. We'll work our way to the top at a relaxed pace taking plenty of time to enjoy the stunning scenery and taking some photos. Our goal today is to reach the highpoint of the trail which is pretty much at the top of the mountain (yes, you can tell your friends that you climbed a mountain!). From there we can choose to extend the ride by descending down to Frisby Lake (remember, what goes down must come back up) or we can just point the tires downhill and enjoy the alpine flowfest that is the Frisby Ridge trail! Our ride finishes with a descent that is 11 km's of absolute pure joy on a mountain bike! We'll enjoy a cold beer back at the truck while soaking in the amazing view of town and the entire river valley before we load up and head back to the lodge. Have some après snacks and then unfortunately, it's time to say goodbye... for now. Check out by 4pm.
