This trip is for experienced mountain bikers looking for the thrill of huge descents and big adventure! Spend three days shredding all of the best rides around Revelstoke followed by a day of shuttling incredible backcountry trails near Nakusp and New Denver. We'll cap off this incredible trip with an epic 7000ft descent via heli-bike-drop on Mt. Cartier! Get your fingers, forearms and brake pads ready for over 40,000 vertical feet of descending with only 4,000 of climbing over these five incredible days!
Check in, get comfortable and get stoked! Check-in starts at 4pm, dinner will be served at 7pm. Meet your guides and discuss your rides while getting acquainted with some delicious offerings from our local brewery. Take advantage of our shop to build your bikes or fine tune them for the big rides ahead.
After a delicious breakfast grab a packed lunch to go and we will head out to Mt. Macpherson for a few hours of all-mountain riding featuring some challenging climbs and plenty of fast and fun descents. We'll get dropped at the far end of Mt. Macpherson Trails and gradually make our way back towards town, hitting up all the best trails on the way. We'll have some lunch and then load up to shuttle right to the top of Sale Mountain to drop in on the Epic Martha Creek Trail, a 5000ft descent over 9kms! We ride right to the beach today where après snacks and drinks will be waiting. Dinner will be served back at the lodge at 7pm.
Enjoy another delicious breakfast then get ready to load up for a full day of shuttling Revelstoke's best Enduro and DH trails! We'll spend our morning on Boulder Mountain checking out trails like Loggin' Leftovers, Rednecks Revenge, Boondocker, Gravy Bacon and The Rooster, just to name a few! We'll hit up the Big Eddy Pub, a favourite local hangout, for lunch today (not included in your trip cost) and then we'll head to the slopes above Blanket Creek Provincial Park, home of the infamous Lost Boys Trail! We will do a couple warm up laps on easier trails to get comfortable with the rock slab features and then we'll get right into Lost Boys and lap it twice. This is one of our favourite DH trails! We'll head back for après and another chef prepared dinner at the lodge tonight.
After another hearty breakfast grab a packed lunch and we'll shuttle up to the Frisby Ridge XC trailhead where we will start a long gradual climb to the alpine. Enjoy lunch at the top of the trail right next to a beautiful alpine lake and take in the views in all directions! Fueled up, we shred back down this buffed out rollercoaster-ride of a trail and continue on to the Ultimate Frisby DH Trail to ride right to valley bottom and right back to town for a drink and some snacks (not incl.) at another classic locals spot, The Village Idiot. We'll head back to the lodge to rest up and enjoy another delicious dinner.
Today will be a super fun all-mountain shuttle day in the Kootenays! After breakfast, a quick half hour drive will see us to the scenic Galena Bay Ferry crossing followed by another 30 minutes to our first riding destination of the day: the Box Lake Trails just outside of the Village of Nakusp. These trails are fast, fun and flowy, filled with small jumps, berms and wooden features sure to get your adrenaline going! We'll do a couple of quick laps here before heading to New Denver to ride some huge AM shuttle trails passing through old silver mining remnants and ghost towns near Idaho Peak. We'll have a tailgate lunch in the mountains today and we'll finish our last ride by rolling right to the beach for cold drinks and snacks. We'll have dinner out tonight, drive-in style, on the way back through Nakusp! (This dinner is not incl. in trip price)
Today's ride will be a special one! After breakfast we'll head up to RMR to get prepped for our helicopter flight up to the top of the 17km, 7000 vertical foot Mt. Cartier Trail! After our morning on the summit we will descend this huge trail, stopping for lunch at a lookout area halfway down, home to an old ranger station. Stashed cold beers await us near valley bottom and then we'll spin out the last few km's of the trip on a serenely peaceful riverside roadway back to the lodge. Grab some après snacks and then hit the relax button, you've just survived over 40,000 feet of descending this week! We'll be whipping up a special dinner tonight to celebrate a great trip!
Breakfast and goodbyes... until next time!
